A year ago yesterday, my family embarked on a cross-country tour of Scotland. That was- and still is- one of my most favorite places on this earth. I’ve been a lot of places, with no plans on stopping any time soon. But there’s just something about Scotland that captures my heart.
I want to go back so bad.
View from the tower in the ruined cathedral in St. Andrews
Corrie Fee hike, Glen Cova
Glamis Castle (Birthplace of the Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s mother)
Dancers at the Strathmore Highland Games, on the Glamis Castle grounds
The view I had from my bedroom window over looking Loch Ness
Faerie Pools hike, Isle of Skye
St. Magnus’ Cathedral, Orkney Islands
Skara Brae, Orkney Islands
Steel Falls hike, Fort William
Remnants of the Roman Antonine Wall
Courtyard of Linlithgow Palace, where Mary Queen of Scots was born
Edinburgh Old Town
‘This heart of mine was made to travel this world.’
Ciao for now,
